Clean Foundation Watershed Restoration Monitoring Data

Map and Visualize

Clean Foundation Watershed Restoration Program conducts restoration work in Dartmouth watersheds, with the goal to improve habitat for fish species and improve overall water quality. This work has helped to improve fish habitat quality through stream restoration structures, debris/blockage removal, riparian planting, and outreach & education. Additionally, through habitat assessments, water quality monitoring and biological monitoring, Clean wishes to provide data to other groups to analyze water quality status and trends over time in the watersheds we work in to determine future restoration sites and gauge the success of the restoration work already completed.

Data Collection Information

A YSI probe wet pro kit is used to collect data on physio-chemical parameters at all sampling locations. To assess additional chemical parameters, sample of water is collected from 7 locations and transferred to a bottle for lab analysis of metals and E-coli.
