Kelligrews Ecological Enhancement Program (KEEP) Water Quality Monitoring

The Kelligrews Ecological Enhancement Program (KEEP) Water Quality Monitoring has been underway since 2014 in partnership with Northeast Avalon ACAP, who encouraged KEEP to undertake water monitoring and provided monitoring equipment. KEEP has monitoring sites along the Lower Gully River, the Kelligrews River, and the Foxtrap River. Volunteers use a multi-parameter water quality sonde to collect water quality data in-situ to monitor the health of these three waterways.

Data Collection Information

A YSI Professional Plus multi-parameter sonde is utilized to collect water quality parameters in-situ at all sample locations (n=9). That sonde is owned, maintained and calibrated by Northeast Avalon ACAP.
