The Kennebecasis Watershed Restoration Committee Water Quality Monitoring Program aims to collect data on baseline water quality conditions throughout the Kennebecasis River watershed. This data is compiled annually in report format and provided to stakeholders and the public via our website: www.kennebecasisriver.org. Water quality data is collected using a portable water quality probe and grab samples sent to the lab for analysis. The results are used to inform and prioritize future restoration projects and identify any water quality issues occurring in our watershed.

Data Collection Information

A multiparameter sonde is used to collect in-situ data from each sampling site. These data are dissolved, oxygen, conductivity, and temperature. All other analytes have been analysed through grab samples sent to the DELG Water Quality Lab (1999-2016) or RPC (2016-2018). All monitoring activities follow “Guidelines for River Sample Collection” distributed by the New Brunswick Department of Environment and Local Government (see file attached with dataset).
