CreekWatch Citizen Science

Map and Visualize

Since 2014, CreekWatch has provided the leadership, science, and stewardship necessary for community volunteers to contribute to positive environmental change in their community. We bring people together from all walks of life – scientists and non-scientists from different communities, backgrounds, cultures, and ages allowing them to investigate and act on water issues pertaining to their local stormwater creeks. CreekWatch promotes collaborative, timely, and low-cost water quality monitoring focused on improving our tributary stormwater quality and having participants explore science by making it more familiar, accessible, and inclusive. Adult volunteers work in teams using portable water quality labs to research and answer the question “How healthy are our creeks?”
