Data Collection Information

A composite sampler is used to collect an integrated sample of the water column from the surface to the Secchi depth. Water samples are analyzed in a lab. Duplicate samples are collected for Total Phosphorus analysis.

Data Processing

Duplicate samples for Total Phosphorus are compared. If samples have a greater than 25% variance, the higher reading is typically discarded due to contamination. Duplicates should be averaged to obtain the TP concentration for the site.
