DataStream Water Quality Monitoring Data

Map and Visualize

The Meduxnekeag River Water quality monitoring program aims to build a better understanding of water quality in the Meduxnekeag watershed. Analysis of this data informs actions by the Association, community members, land owners, academia, government, partners and Woodstock First Nation habitat monitoring and restoration activities. Water grab samples are collected and sent for laboratory analysis. This information is analyzed with historical data and shared with the Department of Environment and Local Government.

Data Collection Information

The Meduxnekeag River Association Inc. has been collecting water grab samples as part of an on-going effort for water quality monitoring along the Meduxnekeag River. We partnered with the Department of Environment and Local Government (DELG) on the water classification project and more recently with Environment and Climate Change Canada on water temperature using HOBO’s. Water samples were historically analyzed at the DELG lab and more recently at RPC (Fredericton).
